Rama: 28,324 more employees since May last year

Prime Minister Edi Rama, in a meeting with the Regional Employment Directorates stated that “all offices have accomplished the objectives, while some have moved ahead”.

“Since May last year, we have 28,324 more employees. Over 14 thousand people have been employed through the Labor Office in this 6-month period “, the head of government said.”Those who want to verify these figures can refer to the Social Security Register of the Republic of Albania,” Rama added. The premier underlined that “there is still room to attract people into the labor market”. Rama also highlighted that the region with the highest number of people employed is Gjirokastra, adding that about 31,000 vacancies were announced by the Labor Offices.

“In many businesses, many workers’ rights are not granted. In some work offices there are still problems with standardization of procedures. Regional offices need to be more cooperative with local offices, which turns out to have not always been done, “Rama said./Klara Ruci/
