Tirana commemorates the 74th anniversary of Liberation by the Nazi-fascists

Tirana celebrated today the 74th anniversary of Liberation by the Nazi-occupied invaders. In sign of gratitude and reverence, for all those who laid their lives for the liberation of the Albanian capital wreaths were placed at the “Unknown Soldier” statue.

In his greeting speech, the Mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj expressed his gratitude for the sacrifices and work and the contribution of everyone for a better city and Albania.
“If we do not understand where we came from, we will never find where we are going to. If we never understand what our ancestors did, we will not know where our successors will go, “said Veliaj.

On this day marked for the capital, the Municipality of Tirana has organized a series of activities to commemorate this historic event.
