Albania will chair the Organization for Security and European Commissioner (OSCE) for 2020. Yesterday, the country has received the green light following a series of applications throughout the years. So, from 1 January 2019, the country becomes part of the Troika. The news is confirmed by Italy’s Twitter page.
This country is the current chair of this organization. The decision in question has also been praised by EU ambassador to Tirana, Luigi Soreca. “EU in Albania welcomes the decision reached today adopting Albania’s candidacy as OSCE Chair in 2020. We are looking forward to supporting Albania also in this crucial role”, the EU ambassador writes. Let us recall that Albania has been one of the most potential candidates to chair the Organization for Security and European Cooperation.
