Kocijancic: Brussels expects  taxes lifting and Kosovo-Serbia commitment to dialogue

It’s been 2 months since the European Union has been putting pressure on the “Haradinaj” government to lift the 100% tax on Serbian goods in order to continue the dialogue with Serbia. EU spokeswoman Maja Kocijancic in a response to the newspaper Zëri said that Brussels expects  taxes lifting and the two countries commit themselves to continuing the dialogue.

While underscoring that the position of the European Union on the tariff imposed on Serbian products has become more clearly evident, EU spokeswoman Maja Kocijancic has stated that the final agreement between Kosovo and Serbia requires a climate, which leads to good relations between the two countries.”Achieving a comprehensive legal agreement for the full normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina requires a climate that contributes to good neighborly relations, where past agreements are fully respected and implemented,” Kocijancic said.

Meanwhile, as she spoke about Serbia, Kocijancic said that as a candidate country for EU membership, Serbia should be committed to full normalization, reconciliation, good neighborly relations and regional co-operation.
