Delyana Lazarova wins first prize at International Conducting Competition held in Tirana

At the stage of the University of Arts in Tirana, was held the International Conducting Competition, and the Bulgarian conductor, Deliana Lazarova claimed the first prize. The second place was shared by two other conductors, the North Korean Andrew Jon Coi and the Chinese Ji Yujue.

All the three finalists competed in front of the jury with their interpretations. Coming from different countries and different schools, all the finalists brought a variety of style into the competition, thus making the jury take a very difficult decision regarding the winner.

The three conductors led the orchestra of RTSH with two renowned musical pieces. The ‘’Festive Overture’’ from Nikolla Zoraqi was the main piece, in remembrance of the famous Albanian composer, that was the main theme of this International Competition.

Afterwards they conducted the orchestra with parts of Dvorzaque, Brams, Schuman.

The winning conductor, Lazarova will be part of the concert season with the orchestra of RTSH. But even the other two finalists will be part of the projects with the orchestra of RTSH and other stages in Europe.

The International Conducting Competition was organized for the first time in our country, a cooperation of RTSH and NRTA Conducting Competition Agency, aiming to promote new conductors and artists and be part of the musical elite.
