German ambassador to our country, Susanne Schütz, says Albania is on the brink of an important decision-making of the European Union and time should not be wasted. “Albania is on the verge of the important decision-making of the European Union regarding the launch of membership talks. Therefore time should not be wasted so that the commenced reforms should be further boosted in order to achieve other concrete results in the five key priorities. I welcome the fact that – albeit slowly – justice reform is progressing unceasingly. It is a success; to the reform process there is no alternative, it is irreversible and unique in the region. It is important that both the Constitutional Court and the High Court, as important corrective instruments of the rule of law, may soon be operational again. In this context, the establishment of SPAK, the Anti-Corruption Structure should be enhanced. We expect further steps forward in the fight against organized crime and corruption. All these efforts are important to convincing not only the Albanians, but also foreign investors, that Albanian justice guarantees legal certainty “, reads the statement.
