”Scanderbeg” square win another prestigious European award

After the prestigious European award for ‘’Public Urban Space 2018’’ in Barcelona, ‘’Scanderbeg’’ square has received another international award. Amidst 393 projects that competed for the Modern Architecture of EU, ‘’Scanderbeg’’ square reached the big finale and received the second place, being praised by the professional jury from all over Europe, for its transforming power, the focus on pedestrians, the sustainability and greenery.

The tough race was displayed at the narrow result (4-3) of the final phase, a race between ‘’Scanderbeg’’ square and the winning project of the famous French studion ‘’Lacaton-Vasal’’, competing with a project of residential and service block in Bordeaux, France.

The deputy mayor of Tirana, Arbjan Mazniku received the prestigious award during the ceremony, where perfection and innovation in the field of architecture are  praised and awarded.
