The great opera ‘Il Trovatore’ of Giuseppe Verdi will be on stage on the 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th of May at the Palace of Congresses in Tirana with directors, conductors and set designers, operatic singers from Italy, Albanian, Serbia, Ukraine and Georgia . It is a premiere of the Albanian Opera House, which comes in the Week of Europe, supported by the Italian Embassy and the EU Delegation in Albania.
The event will be attended by the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, who is expected to hold a speech before the show. Zana Çela the Director of the Opera House stated for RTSH that great music is what unites the boundaries created by politics. “Verdi joins Italy with Europe, but also the world with his music. For the week of Europe we could not find something better than this work. Cultural diplomacy is the core of EU relations, as well as the whole world. Albania is part of Europe, of the European family and has its historical, geographical and cultural values. Zana Çela assessed it as the best show of the Opera House during the last two years.
