Jaka:Opening the negotiations is necessary, though costly for business

‘The opening of the negotiations for Albanian entrepreneurship is undoubtedly an encouraging signal and increases the confidence of domestic and foreign investors, which in turn creates grounds for employment growth and economic growth, but on the other hand, Albanian producers will also be exposed more to the risk of high competition from European goods,’ that is the statement issued by Nikolin Jaka, chairman of the Tirana Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

According to him, this competition should be counterbalanced by the increase of Albanian exports, as well as the opening of new businesses with Albanian or foreign capital to create more export space to the European Union market. Jaka says it is necessary to immediately identify and prepare a set of legal, procedural, tax, and tariff packages for the most competitive sectors.
