Albania has taken the Chairmanship of the Energy Charter Secretariat for 2019. At the International Energy Charter Forum on “Energy, Renewable Resources and Energy Efficiency Diversification”, Energy Ministry Belinda Balluku stated that our country is ranked among the European countries that produces energy from renewable sources and highlighted the growing demand for solar and wind power. Minister of Tourism and Environment Bledi Klosi reiterated that protected areas continue to be a priority. While Secretary-General of the Energy Charter Secretariat stressed that the new challenges should be all government projections.
“All governments must have long-term perspectives and commitments that need to determine political predictability and all environmental objectives, “said Secretary General of the Energy Charter Secretariat. The conference focused on balancing the challenges of energy security and climate change in developed and emerging economies.
