Two Albanian alpinists pin the flags of Albania and Kosovo on Carstensz Pyramide

President Ilir Meta reacted  after news that two Albanians from Kosovo, Mrika and Arianit Nikci wrote history, climbing the seven highest peaks of the seven continents.

President Meta  expressed his  gratitude to the two climbers who today managed to raise the national flag on the seventh highest peak in the world, at Carstensz Pyramide, Indonesia, at an altitude of 4884 meters.

“Proud and grateful to Mrika and Arianiti, who raised the national flag on the 7th highest peaks of the seven continents,” Meta writes.

Mrika and Arianit Nikci have managed to wave the red and Kosovo’s  flag on the seven highest peaks of the seven continents, breaking the world record.
