The countries of Visegrad strongly support the EU integration of the Western Balkan Region.
This stance was confirmed by Prague, where in the meeting held with the countries of the Western Balkan, where the heads of states and foreign ministers reiterated the commitment for paving the way of opening the negotiations with Albania. During the meeting it was discussed the concrete steps in infrastructural connection, cooperation in the field of energy, security and environmental policies.
During his stay in Prague, the acting minister for Europe and foreign affairs, Gent Cakaj held a meeting with his Czech homologue, Tomas Petricek. They agreed for concrete steps for cooperation in the framework of the process of EU integration and receiving the Presidency of OSCE.
