Albania was praised at the Tourism Fair in Madrid as an example of the tourism industry. At the meeting of ministers responsible for tourism, representatives of the European Commission and influential actors in this industry, Albania brought to the attention of everyone the consolidated tourism industry and its solidarity in coping with the post-earthquake situation.
Minister of Tourism and Environment, Blendi Klosi said that, “our country was presented at the Tourism Fair in Madrid with the example of hotels opening doors and sheltering earthquake victims and how the private and public sector cooperated to deal with earthquake consequences to have less impact on the Albanian economy ”.
“We, as Albania, presented the extraordinary case of sheltering citizens affected by the earthquake of November 26 in Albanian hotels, proving that the tourism industry is an industry that, along with other industries, is there to help, not only to create more jobs, to create more profits, but of course to increasingly support the economy and sustainable developments in our countries. ”
“At the Madrid Fair we discussed with colleagues how Albania already well advanced in investment in tourism, is a very sustainable destination, “said Klosi.
