Covid-19 updates; 124 infected and 4 deaths during the last 24 hrs

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection informs about the epidemiological situation of Covid19.
During the last 24 hours in our country, 500 tests have been performed on suspects affected by Covid 19, where 124 people have been confirmed to be affected by the Covid 19 virus.
The geographical distribution of positive daily cases is as follows: 33 cases in Tirana, 19 in Elbasan, 9 in Mirdita, 8 in Lushnje, 7 cases in Fier, Kruja, 6 in Korca, 4 cases in Shkodra, Durres, Vlora, Divjaka, 3 in Tropoja, from 2 cases in Kurbin, Lezha, Puka, from 1 case in Kavaja, Kamza, Pogradec, Tepelena, Fushë-Arrëz, Dibër, Malësi e Madhe, Vora, Maliq, Patos.
In the last 24 hours, 41 citizens have been recovered, bringing the number of cured to 3268, since the beginning of the epidemic.
Meanwhile about 1600 family doctors across the country are following the active people with Covid19.
Currently in the Infectious Diseases Hospital and “Shefqet Ndroqi” 116 patients are being confirmed positive with Covid19, 19 patients are in intensive therapy, 4 of which are intubated.
Meanwhile, in both Covid hospitals, in addition to the confirmed positive patients with Covid19, suspected patients are also receiving treatment, who are being treated according to the relevant protocols.
Unfortunately, even after the great efforts of the medical teams, in the two Covid hospitals, they could not win the battle with the disease, a 76-year-old from Shkodra, and 3 citizens from Tirana; a 50-year-old; a 75-year-old and a 76-year-old.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expresses its condolences to the family and relatives.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection once again calls on businesses, institutions, to correctly implement occupational safety protocols, approved by the health authorities.
An appeal also for the citizens to be careful in the implementation of the established measures.
