The Assembly will meet again at 17:00 today, where Prime Minister Edi Rama is expected to present to the parliament the governing program as well as the names of the new government cabinet, although it is not included in the agenda. After the approval in the Parliament, the Prime Minister sends the ministers to President Ilir Meta for decree , the latter must be expressed within 7 days after getting information from the Prosecution.
The head of the state must decree the government which passes the approved decrees again in the Assembly within a period of 10 days. Prior to taking office, the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister and ministers will be sworn in before the President. This is the procedure until the new government starts working with the objectives set for the third governing term.
Deputies will also gather to set up all the new structures of parliament. The approval of the composition of 8 standing committees is foreseen in the agenda; 5 of which are led by the majority and 3 by the Democratic Party, as well as the Assembly bureau and secretariats.
