President, Dr. Vjosa Osmani, received in a meeting the Ambassador of the United States of America, Mr. Philip Kosnett.
On this occasion, Ambassador Kosnett once again congratulated President Osmani on taking office, emphasizing that just as Kosovo is committed to excellent relations with the United States, the same value for the United States and their commitment to our country.
Speaking about the priorities and issues that President Osmani will push forward during her term, she stressed that in accordance with the constitutional competencies, foreign policy, security, and further strengthening of statehood will undoubtedly be in the first focus, stressing that she will actively work for the continuous improvement of the country's image. Considering the situation with the pandemic and the need for inter-institutional mobilization for its successful management, President Osmani affirmed that she will be committed to help provide vaccines for Kosovo citizens. Regarding the issue of the pandemic, both sides stressed the need for full compliance with the presented measures of the government, as the safest and most appropriate way to save lives.
At the meeting, President Osmani also assured Ambassador Kosnett that she will be committed to creating a genuine platform for dialogue across the political spectrum, noting that in this regard she will place special emphasis on consultations with the opposition and the inclusion of active in matters of special interest to the country.
