"Andromeda Galaxy", the film of More Races, will open the 8th edition of the international festival "Dea Open Air". The film focuses on a parent who cannot find a job in Kosovo. Due to lack of solution, he is forced to leave his country illegally. "Corruption and organized crime have made life miserable for ordinary people, who when confronted with the strong (the corrupt) are always defeated and forced to flee or surrender to a life of misery." The director of the festival says that out of over a thousand applications in different genres, 56 films have been selected. Genc Përmeti, the director of the feature film section, singles out the focus on ordinary people and humanism as unique in this program.
"Dea Akademi" will not be missing this time either, as well as a special place dedicated to Kosovar cinema. Tirana hosts the film festival from October 15th to 19th. In the competition for the "Dea" awards, the selection commissions have thought to include in this year's program a total of 56 films, of which 7 in the feature film section or the main competition, 3 in the Cine-Ko program, 15 in the short film, 15 in the student film section and 16 in the documentary film section.
