Deputy Prime Minister of Albania, Arben Ahmetaj, inaugurated together with the Mayor Erion Veliaj, the new social center in Kombinat, which was rebuilt after the devastating earthquake of 2019.
During his speech before the people present, Ahmetaj said that the government has paid attention to people in need and in the new budget of 2021, there are finances dedicated to them.
He underlined that pensions will be increased, as well as economic assistance for orphans and families in need will be doubled.
"This is the spirit of rebound and attention to citizens in need. We shared with you today the emotions not of reconstruction, but of a majority that has placed the man in need in its foundations.
I want to share with you that next year's budget, in addition to important reforms, is based on the family support package. There are 15,000 families in need who have more than three children under the age of 18 who will receive a doubled economic assistance. But this is direct attention.
There are packages for young people to make them more competitive. Today's children, tomorrow will compete towards a wider economy. All the qualities or skills that are required must be acquired to cope with tomorrow. I say this to remind you that the earthquake tested us all. Reconstruction will remain for the rest of my life my personal pride, because when we see new families entering the house, there is no greater satisfaction for a public employee, and for this it is worthwhile to deal with politics", said Ahmetaj.
