Albania will go to the Venice Biennale with the project ‘In Our House’, by Dhimitër Anagnosti. The neighborhood of our country after the `90s, at the opening of the gates of Albania, is presented in the 17th edition of the International Exhibition of Architecture by Fiona Mali, Irola Andoni, Malvina Ferra, Rudina Breçani and Thomas Logoreci.
The artists, together with the Minister of Culture Elva Margariti, presented the winning project selected a year ago, but due to the suspension of the biennial due to the covid 19 pandemic, it will continue its journey this year on May 22nd.
The project "Apart - In our house" addresses the topic of neighborhood in Albania after the '90s, compared to that before the' 90s, when a good neighborhood was considered a luck. The authors have started from episodes of Albanian films, such as "In our house", directed by Dhimitër Anagnosti, from where the project has received the title. At the dawn of a new decade, the answer to the question of how we will live together can be very simple: Know your neighbor! The international jury that selected this project consisted of Armand Vokshi, Simon Battisti, Arta Dollani, Driant Zeneli and Stefano Boeri.
