Albania suffers 0-1 defeat against Poland, drops to third place

The Albanian national football team was defeated 1-0 on Tuesday evening by Poland, in the meeting valid for group I of the World Cup Eliminators "Qatar 2022", which was brought to sports fans directly by the Albanian Radio-Television Network. In fact, the first part of the match played at the "National Arena" Stadium in the capital, has started balanced, with a game fought in midfield, but the 9th minute brings 3 dangerous attempts of the red and blacks and Uzuni and Manaj are blocked from defense, while Ramadani is inaccurate in hitting from a distance.

The first half concludes with untouched nets, 0-0.

The second half will have the same panorama in the first 20 minutes. But the minutes from the 65th to the 71st will be nervous for the red and blacks, as initially it is the newcomer on the field, Lenjani, who gives the Poles a golden opportunity to score after a mistake inside the area, and then Berisha has to make an important reception, after another ball lost by the National Team and Poland has been twice within a few minutes near the goal.  But Poland will punish the red and black distraction in the 77th minute, when Swiderski will take advantage of an accurate cross from the right and will hit in the inclined position and score the first and only goal of the match.

But the goal celebrations put the Polish footballers under a rain of plastic bottles and the match was temporarily interrupted by the match delegate. And after 20 minutes of interruption and warning to leave the match in case of repetition of that ugly episode, the match resumed. Poland manages the minimal advantage well, even Levandovski has risked scoring the second goal, but Berisha blocks it well, while the last minutes of regular time see Albania insist on the opponents goal.

But Broja has neither the clarity in the effort, nor the strength in hitting the target. The final whistle blows and a very bitter loss of Albania, that   hand over the second place in the ranking of Group I to Poland and the "World Cup " dream begins to dissolve on the horizon.
