While countries around the world are vying to provide as many vaccines against Covid as possible to immunize their populations, Serbia tops the list for the highest number of vaccines in the region. It has so far received 2,664,460 anti-Covid vaccines from four pharmaceutical companies, namely Sinopharm, Pfizer, Sputnik and AstraZeneca. Right after our country is ranked, Albania, with 80,325 doses of vaccine from Pfizer and AstraZeneca. Bosnia and Herzegovina has received 52,000 vaccines from Sputnik and AstraZeneca. Montenegro has received 44,000 vaccine doses from Sinopharm and Sputnik, Northern Macedonia 11,190 Pfizer and Sputnik vaccines. The only country in the region that has not yet received a single dose of vaccine is Kosovo. After the arrival of the first doses from AstraZeneca in Albania, Prime Minister Rama stated that the Ministry of Health in Albania will be in contact with the Ministry of Health in Kosovo to enable the vaccination of doctors and nurses of Covid hospitals in Kosovo in Kukës, by starting with that of Prishtina.
