Albanian comedian Koco Devole passes away at the age of 75
Well-known comedian Koço Devole passed away at the age of 75. The actor of many roles in various telecomedies passed away as a result of complications from the Covid-19 virus, where he was hospitalized for several days intubated in serious health condition.
Devole was born in Kuçova in 1945 and in addition to being a well-known actor, he has also been a director, screenwriter, caricaturist and show presenter. In 1966 he worked as an actor and director in "The Army variety show" alongside well-known actors such as Aleko Prodani, Roland Trebicka, Zef Deda, Sejfulla Myftari. Later he worked in the magazine "Hosteni" as a caricaturist.
In 1978, the famous actor worked at the Albanian Radio Television as an editor, screenwriter and director of various artistic programs. He was a screenwriter and actor in the New Year concerts of the Albanian Radio Television in the years 1979 - 1997 as well as author, director and actor in various telecomedies such as 'Black Bag', 'Last Hunt', 'Alive or Dead' ',' The million Lek bag ',' Great appetite ',' A crazy day ',' Holidays in Rome ',' The hero's revolution ',' Don't go brave ',' Millionaire ',' Albania, once upon a time 'etj.
The late actor Koço Devole was the author and director of many stage shows with the Tirana, Fier, Berat Variety troupe. In 2013 he starred in the comic series "So well" in the role of history professor Akil Boga. In recent years, Devole has worked on the investigative show "Fiks Fare" where he has stood out with numerous columns.
The President of the Assembly, Mr. Gramoz Ruçi, reacted today with a message of condolence for the death of the artist Koço Devole.
"Koço Devole was a universal artist with a long creativity: actor, director, show presenter, screenwriter and caricaturist. In all the genres of art he created, and remained true to humor. Through his original humor, he whipped the evil and the negativity of the society. Koço will be remembered for a long time for his contribution to exalt the good over the bad, the beautiful over the ugly, the joy over the boredom ", writes in his message of condolence the Speaker of the Assembly, Gramoz Ruçi.
The President of the Republic, Ilir Meta, has consoled his family, relatives and all artists for the sad news of the death of the famous actor Koço Devole.
Meta says that Albanian humor and art have lost one of the most beloved figures. Condolences were also expressed by Prime Minister Edi Rama and opposition leader Lulezim Basha.
