Albanian famous poet and filmmaker Petrit Ruka passes away at the age of 67

Albanian famous poet and filmmaker Petrit Ruka passed away at the age of 67. Poetry, love, childhood! These are the 3 words that can describe Petrit Ruka as a man and a poet.

Petrit Ruka Born in Tepelena in 1954. He graduated higher studies in Albanian Language and Literature and postgraduate studies in film dramaturgy at the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana 1985 - 1986. He worked as a screenwriter and director at Kinostudio “Shqipëria e Re” and Alba Film Studio in Tirana from 1986 to 1996.  Ruka has also been a director at the National Children's Theater in Tirana as well as President of the Albanian National Cinematographic Center from 2000 to 2005.
