EU Ambassador Luigi Soreca, French Ambassador Elisabeth Barsacq and German Ambassador Peter Zingraf are in Elbasan today, where the focus will be on the progress of the April 25 elections. The ambassadors will meet with the political leaders of the political parties for the Elbasan region, where they are expected to give messages for a good completion of the electoral process, 6 days before the citizens go to the ballot boxes.
The ambassadors held meetings with the political leader of the Socialist Party for the Elbasan region, Taulant Balla of the Socialist Party, the political leader of the Democratic Party Gazment Bardhi, the candidate for MP of the "Thurrje" Initiative, Rudina Hajdari. Earlier, Ambassador Yuri Kim, but also the Italian Ambassador Fabrizio Bucci held meetings with political leaders of the parties for Elbasan, where they stressed the importance of holding free and peaceful elections, underlying that the physical clashes will not be tolerated.
French Ambassador Elisabeth Barsacq was in line with EU Ambassador Lugi Soreca on the importance of free and fair elections on April 25 and the absence of vote-buying. From Elbasani, after meeting with political leaders of political parties in the country, Barsacq also spoke about the language used by politicians during the election campaign, where he said that it is important to remove hate speech.
