Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde, who is also the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office is paying a visit in Kosovo. She stated that this multilateral organization supports the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue. During her stay in Kosovo, the Swedish chief diplomat said that the purpose of the visit is to empower women, peace and security in the country.
"I am here in two different roles, you know that the state of Sweden recognizes Kosovo, but as the OSCE we have a neutral position on the status. The OSCE has supported the dialogue process," she said.
She said that these agendas should be pushed forward in Kosovo. " OSCE attaches great significance to the cooperation with Kosovo. We support the partnership with the institutions here to push forward agendas for the empowerment of women and the fight against domestic violence," she said. Meanwhile, the Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations, as well as the Executive Deputy Director of UN Women, Asa Regner said that their focus is on a lasting peace.
