The British Ambassador, Duncan Norman visited the city of Elbasan to monitor the voting process in this city.
In a statement to the media, Norman said that during the morning today he was in several cities of Albania as he added that eight teams of the British Embassy are on the ground to observe the voting process.
During his speech, Norman appealed to all Albanians to go to the polls as democracy is achieved only through voting.
"The British Embassy has eight teams which are on the ground today and we are supporting 600 local monitors. What we are doing is encouraging people to vote and giving you a message that democracy can only be achieved through the opportunity to vote and to go to the polls. My message is very clear for the citizens to go to the polls if they have not had the opportunity to vote so far to go to the polls because there are many opportunities to vote," he said.
