Former Minister of Integration ,Majlinda Bregu says that the process of enlargement of the European Union has been stagnant for years, while this time Albania, according to her, remained stranded to the relations between Bulgaria and North Macedonia. During an interview with the journalist of RTSH, Lutfi Dervishi, the head of the Regional Cooperation Council , Majlinda Bregu said:
"It is not good news at all that Bulgaria has decided to prevent North Macedonia from holding the first Intergovernmental Conference due to a relationship and history-related concerns. I hope there will be an unblocking of the situation after the elections in Bulgaria. And this case to avoid division and Albania has remained hostage to a relationship which does not in fact affect Albania at all. Here is a precedent which can be repeated tomorrow by any other EU member state at a time when a "The countries of the region will be approaching. The truth is that the enlargement process has been stagnant for years." - said Bregu for RTSH.
