Dardha is a remote village that on a normal day does not have more than 40 inhabitants, but on holidays the village is overcrowded with visitors. Many people see Dardha as the ideal place to rest for a few days. In this period the remote village is overflowing with snow which turns the hills and mountains in a pronounced white color.
Dardha is a mountain village among the mountains and forests, a rare natural beauty. 20 km southeast of Korça, at an altitude of 1,344 m, Dardha offers a very healthy climate and fresh air. Winter sports, especially skiing, due to the mountain ski slopes is frequented by a large number of local and foreign visitors during the winter months.The name Dardha (from the pear fruit) comes from a legend, according to which, it is said that the fugitives stood in a field around a pear tree and called it the field below the pear. The road to the remote village has been reconstructed. There are many hotels which offer tourist services and the prices have been reasonable.
One of the most distinctive and beautiful features of the tourist village of Dardha, is its unforgettable landscape, where the characteristics of each season are best reflected. Stone houses, green forest crowns dressed in white in winter, and an air purity that makes you feel completely regenerated. These qualities have led to an increase in the number of tourists in Dardha year after year, as well as those new residents who choose to build the ideal holiday home right there.
The main economic activity of the village is tourism. Family tourism, there are a considerable number of traditional inns and taverns, which offer traditional and very special food. Dardha has considerable potential for organizing groupings, conferences and cultural events.

The cultural heritage is rich - the architecture of the houses built of stone with the characteristic tiled roofs, etc. Also important is the Dardha Museum. The ethnographic and spiritual heritage consists of the characteristic Dardha dances and folk costumes.
