The registration of the trademark not only enables the "Made in Albania" product to gain value in the market, but is also an indicator of economic growth and originality.
Finance and Economy Minister Anila Denaj announced that the applications made to the General Directorate of Industrial Property for the trademark increased significantly in the 7 months of this year. According to her, 881 national applications were made for the trademark in the January-July period, 553 of which were from the applicants.
Meanwhile, in the same period of 2020, 610 national trademark applications were made to the General Directorate of Industrial Property, of which 383 were from Albanian organizations.
A trademark is a word, symbol, drawing, or combination of several words, phrases, symbols, or drawings that distinguishes and identifies the source of one party's goods from another.
