Although there has been a decline in figures due to the global pandemic, trade in goods between countries has not stopped.
The Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) reported today that in the first quarter of this year, exports of Albanian goods to China reached the value of ALL 2.2 billion from ALL 1.2 billion exported in the quarter of 2020.
Meanwhile, imports of goods, referred to INSTAT, reached the value of ALL 14.7 billion. In the same period of 2020, ALL 11.2 billion of goods were imported.
According to INSTAT, in March the volume of imports of goods from China increased by 95.6%.
Albania imports from China mainly machinery, equipment and spare parts whose value during this quarter is estimated at ALL 6.8 billion.
It also imports textiles and shoes, worth almost ALL 2.6 billion, chemical and plastic products worth over ALL 1.9 billion and construction materials and metals worth ALL 1.2 billion.
