The Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) reported today that in the first 5 months of this year, exports of Albanian goods to China reached the value of ALL 3.2 billion from ALL 2.2 billion exported in the same period of 2020. Meanwhile, imports of goods, referred to INSTAT, reached the value of ALL 25.3 billion. In the same period of 2020, ALL 18.3 billion of goods were imported.
According to INSTAT, in May the volume of imports of goods from China increased by 38.3%. Albania imports from China are mainly machinery, equipment and spare parts whose value during this 5-month period is estimated at ALL 11.8 billion. Also textiles and shoes, worth almost 4.6 billion ALL, chemical and plastic products worth over 3.6 billion ALL and construction materials and metals worth 1.9 billion ALL.
