INSTAT: Exports to China increase significantly

In January 2021, the countries with which Albania has had the largest increase in exports, compared to January 2020 are: Italy (4.5%), Greece (1.3%) and China (132.7%).

While the countries with which exports have had the largest decrease are: Spain (3.0%), Kosovo (15.2%) and Germany (25.8%).

In January 2021, the countries with which Albania has had the largest increase in imports, compared to January 2020 are: Italy (13.1%), China (18.6%) and Turkey (1.4%). While the countries with which imports have had the largest decrease are: Greece (12.4%), Germany (0.5%) and USA (6.6%).

Trade exchanges with EU countries account for 63.3% of all trade. In January 2021, exports to EU countries accounted for 81.0% of total exports and imports from EU countries accounted for 54.1% of total imports. The main trading partners are: Italy (33.3%), China (8.1%), Turkey (7.2%) and Greece (7.1%), INSTAT reported.
