Trade with the countries of the European Union represents 60.5% of all trade. According to the report published by INSTAT on foreign trade, for the period January - October 2021, exports to EU countries represent 72.2% of total exports and imports from EU countries represent 54.9% of total imports.
INSTAT reports that the main trading partners are Italy with 30.1%, Turkey with 7.7%, Greece with 7.2% and Germany with 6.6%.
During this ten-month period, exports of goods reached the value of ALL 300 billion, increasing by 35.2%, while imports of goods reached the value of ALL 632 billion, increasing by 29.5% compared to the previous year.
The trade deficit reached the value of ALL 333 billion, increasing by 24.8% compared to the same period of 2020.
