Ismet Peja passes away at the age of 83. He was a successful singer of old civic songs. He was born in Gjakova on April 27, 1937 and the son of Musa Peja, who was also a singer of Albanian melody.
He started playing music at the age of 13/14. He achieved the greatest successes with the music company "Hajdar Dushi", with which he had numerous presentations on TVP and Radio Prishtina.
His first album was released in 1986 with the "Hajdar Dushi" orchestra. So far he has released a large number of music albums.
In 2005 he released another album with his son, singer Visar Peja.
He is one of the artists with the longest experience in the Albanian music scene.
