A delegation from the Foreign Policy Committee of the Albanian Parliament, chaired by Mimi Kodheli paid a visit to Kosovo at the invitation of the Chairperson of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Time Kadrijaj.
The delegation was also received by the top authorities of Kosovo, the Speaker of the Assembly and Acting President of the Republic, Vjosa Osmani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Meliza Haradinaj Stublla and the delegation of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and diaspora.
During the meeting the parliamentarians attached significance to the parliamentary exchanges, under the model of joint government meetings, which have turned out to be successful formats. Kodheli underlined the importance of the involvement of the diaspora in national policies.
On the other hand, Acting President of the Republic Vjosa Osmani underlined the importance of having a common foreign policy with a unified voice of Albania and Kosovo regarding the issue of the latter. Assessing Kosovo war as a right, she said that the political class should not be silent, enabling the younger generations know the truth.
It was also agreed on an even closer cooperation in the framework of international organizations where permanent parliamentary delegations participate, but with different statuses.
