Kosovar Judoka Nora Gjakova goes to the semifinals of the Olympic Games

Kosovar judoka, Nora Gjakova, managed to win against opponent Kaja Kaiser from Slovenia, thus managing to reach the semifinals.

She has managed to win with Ippon and get qualified for the semifinals.

Meanwhile, earlier she defeated the Dutchwoman, Sanne Verhagen, within the Olympic Games "Tokyo 2020".

Nora Gjakova is the judoka who is aiming for medals in these Olympic Games, as she is the only medal she lacks. She competes in the -57 kg category.

Nora Gjakova fights for Kosova U57kg. She bagged a world bronze medallist in 2021 in Budapest. She won the European senior title in 2018 in Tel Aviv. She took bronze in 2021 in Lisbon. She won the Grand Prix Antalya and GP in Tunis in 2018. She won European Games bronze in 2015 and European bronze in 2017. Gjakova took gold at the Grand Prix The Hague in 2017 and Grand Prix Tbilisi in 2019. European Cadet and U23 Champion. Gjakova won 25 World Cup medals. Silver at the 2018 IJF World Masters in Guangzhou. Silver at GP Budapest 2019. She took bronze at the IJF Judo masters in Doha in 2021.
