With a state ceremony, the new Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti from the ''Vetëvendosje Movement'', became the Pm of Kosovo. The task was handed over to him by the current Prime Minister of Kosovo, Avdullah Hoti.
The government of Albin Kurti on March 22 received the trust of 67 deputies of the Assembly of Kosovo.
Kurti formed the new executive with non-Serb community parties. His government has three deputy prime ministers and 15 ministries, five of which will be headed by women.
Kosovo's new prime minister, Albin Kurti - whose party won 50.28% of the vote in the February 14 election - has said his government's main challenge will be to bring the coronavirus pandemic under control. He said he aims to provide enough vaccines to immunize 60 % of the population against COVID-19.
Kurti is holding the post of prime minister for the second time, after in February last year he was elected for the first time in this post. But the then coalition partner, the Democratic League of Kosovo, overthrew the Kurti government and Avdullah Hoti took over.
