Lulzim Basha has been re-elected as the chairman of the Democratic Party of Albania for a four-year term.
The Chairman of the Election Commission in the Democratic Party, Jemin Gjana, in a statement to the media has published the results of the elections that were held on June 13 in the branches of the Democratic Party throughout Albania, where it turns out that Basha won 81 percent of the vote against three other candidates.The leader of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, in a statement to the media, thanked all the democrats and highlighted that all democrats will continue their fight against any injustice. Basha stressed that all democrats and Albanians must fight for a better future for Albania. He added that all the energies of the DP will go to the collapse of Rama's regime.
In the parliamentary elections of April 25 this year, the coalition led by the largest opposition party, the Democratic Party of Albania (DP), composed of several political parties, won 59 deputies, remaining in opposition again.
Basha was elected head of the Democratic Party in 2013, while he held several ministerial posts before being elected leader of the Democratic Party.
