Albania is concluding another contract with the Company "Pfizer" which will provide our country with another 500,000 doses of vaccines within this year. The news was conveyed from Copenhagen by the Minister of Health Ogerta Manastirliu, from where she is chairing the 71st session of the WHO Regional Committee for Europe.
"I am pleased to say that we are negotiating and concluding another contract with Pfizer for 500,000 doses of the vaccine, which will arrive in the last 3 months of this year and of course we will continue to have a proactive approach to increase vaccine coverage in risk groups, especially health workers, teachers and also all employees services in public administration ", said Manastirliu.
53 countries are participating in this meeting where there is also the most vocal authority of public health expertise in the world as dr. Fauci, prof. Monti etc and are discussing the lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic, to resize access to health services in the light of the pandemic.
It is the first time that Albania has taken the lead in the 71st Session of the WHO Regional Committee for Europe, as an assessment and recognition of the efforts of the Albanian government to manage the pandemic situation.
