The interlocutors exchanged professional opinions on the difficulties of the process, on the special and high attention required for many aspects, on the need for a more complete and deep preparation.
Ambassador Paselic reassured Chief Negotiator Mazi of the full support of all Croatian institutions for the integration of Albania and for the holding of the first intergovernmental conference.
Chief Negotiator Mazi held talks with Domagoj Hadjykovicx, Chairman of the Croatian Parliament's Foreign Policy Committee. The conversation focused on the prominent and important role played by the parliamentary dimension in the EU integration process. The unwavering and concrete all-party consensus takes on great values and should watch this whole process. This supports and facilitates the process. It is an indication of the country's seriousness and determination for the integration path, a clear message to all EU member states and the European Commission. The need to increase parliamentary exchanges was stressed and the total support of the Croatian parliament for the continuation of full support for Albania was underlined.
