The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka attended the meeting of Foreign Ministers and the Southeast European Process Summit (SEECP) being held in Antalya, Turkey.
Minister Xhaçka praised the results achieved thanks to regional cooperation, emphasizing that the enlargement of the European Union has been a very important driver for improving this cooperation.
"Very soon, the credibility of the EU will be tested with its decision on the first Intergovernmental Conference on Albania and North Macedonia. It is an essential test not only for our two countries, but for the region as a whole and for regional cooperation in Southeast Europe," the minister said during her speech.
She praised the contribution of the Turkish presidency and the Regional Co-operation Council and Secretary General Majlinda Bregu in advancing the regional agenda.
The ministerial was followed today by the SEECP summit, after which the chairmanship of the Southeast Europe Process passes from Turkey to Greece for 2021 - 2022.
