The Technical Committee of Experts has addressed the Ministry of Health with a proposal that the pre-university education process be switched from a combined classroom system with a strict anti-COVID protocol.
Deputy Minister of Health Mira Rakacolli stated that the situation in these two weeks has been stable, citing as a factor the vaccination process, for which she stressed that Albania has left behind Croatia.
"As can be seen from these figures just mentioned, the Committee concludes that the situation is stable but we have in mind a slight upward trend. Hopefully this situation will not continue to worsen. Vaccination in the population has progressed at a good pace.
A good part of the teachers have had the first corionavirus jab. We can say that we are one of the first countries in terms of the pace of vaccination in the Balkans, leaving behind Croatia. In view of this situation, the Committee intends to propose that the university education process be transferred to the classroom with a tight regulation protocol.
The battle with COVID continues. We must continue wearing the mask and physical distancing because only in this way we will try to have a good control over the pandemic by achieving improvement of the economy ", says Rakacolli.
