Albanian parliament will convene today at 10:00 for the first time after the April 25 elections. The assembly will convene with the current deputies where a majority of them will sit for the last time in parliament, while the 140 deputies who emerged from the April 25 elections will be sworn in in September.
The Conference of Chairmen decided to hold plenary sessions on May 4, May 6, May 13 and May 20, 2021. Important issues are expected to return to the discussion tables, where above all is the discharge of the President of the Republic. In today's session, several draft laws returned by the President, as well as normative acts of the government related to the agreement on the provision of vaccines, have been put on the agenda for voting.
On April 25, the Socialist Party won 74 seats and won a third historic seat, the DP came in second with 59 seats, the SMI secured only four seats and the PSD three seats.
