The poet Petrit Ruka was honored today with the title "Doctor Honoris Causa", for his special contribution through poetic creativity, with whose poems not only the motives of the former Albania are being experienced, but also those of the modern time. Prime Minister Edi Rama present at the award ceremony praised his creativity, calling him an author who continuously creates values that are original and related to many things, that even if we do not know, we do feel them as part of this society.
"Petrit Ruka is a poet, writer, screenwriter, a rare being in our culture and art, an author not easily found, not that he is the only one or the first to try to reach out to all the fields where the creator lies down with words, but that he has an extraordinary transformative capacity in his being, passing from one genre to another and giving each genre something which is really original and to be admired,"said the Prime Minister.
"I want to wish Petrit much more energy, time and desire to continue to be the one he is on this land, which as Petrit puts it, it is a theater of tragedies where everyone is at the same time playwrights and authors of where there are no viewers, prompters and directors ", said Rama.
The poet, Petrit Ruka in his speech estimated that the publication "Andej baltë e ktëj erë" brings some Arber ballads that are perhaps the greatest treasure that has managed to accumulate the Albanian language in centuries and which, stressed Ruka, for years I have loved bringing them back artistically dressed in our modern times.
