The Speaker of the Assembly, Gramoz Ruçi received the Head of the OSCE Presence in Tirana, Vincenzo Del Monaco. The focus of the conversation was the fruitful cooperation so far between the Albanian Parliament and the OSCE Presence in Tirana.
The President of the Assembly praised the good work that the Presence has done over the years in support of the comprehensive reforms of Albania and the agenda for the modernization of the country, in accordance with the mandate of the Presence and the needs and priorities of the country's development.
In particular, Ruçi expressed gratitude for the cooperation with the Assembly on justice reforms, modernization of public administration, regional cooperation, gender equality, youth support, as well as the implementation of joint projects, such as the PACEP project, implemented by the Presence of the OSCE in Albania and the American Democratic Institute (NDI).
Ambassador Del Monaco said that the OSCE Presence in Albania, which over the years has been one of the closest partners of the Albanian Parliament and the Albanian people will continue to be a strong supporter of Albanian institutions and citizens in their efforts to build a functioning democracy.
Ambassador Del Monaco also expressed the readiness of the OSCE Presence in Tirana to support the Albanian institutions in implementing the recommendations contained in the final OSCE / ODIHR report on the parliamentary elections held on 25 April 2021.
