The Speaker of the Assembly, Gramoz Ruçi, received today the Ambassador of Poland, Karol Bachura, on the occasion of the end of his mandate in Albania. President Ruçi thanked Ambassador Bachura for his contribution to strengthening bilateral cooperation and the support that Poland has given to Albania's European integration. From 1937, when diplomatic relations were established between the two countries until today, bilateral cooperation has been strengthened. In recent years they have been strengthened through the exchange of high-level visits and the organization of important political, economic and trade activities.
"Albania is grateful to Poland for its determined support for the European integration of Albania and the Western Balkans, as well as for the active contribution to securing the support of the Visegrad Group. We appreciate Poland's vision for the necessity of the region's integration into the EU and not to leave it at risk of non-Western influences. We are also grateful for the support for the reconstruction after the consequences of the earthquake of November 26 and the help for facing the pandemic ", underlined the Speaker of the Assembly, Gramoz Ruçi.
Ambassador Karol Bachura thanked the Speaker of the Assembly for the appreciation of the Albanian-Polish cooperation as well as the appreciation of his contribution as Ambassador in strengthening this cooperation. He noted that Poland and the Visegrad Group, as a successful model of cooperation, will continue to support the European integration of Albania and the Western Balkans and this assistance will continue during the negotiation and membership process.
