The mass vaccination process against COVID-19 is bringing the first benefits to the country. Recently, the Swiss authorities have taken the decision to remove Albania from the list of countries with high risk of infection from COVID-19.
According to the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs the new measures apply to all those who are allowed to travel to Switzerland, specifically, Albanian citizens with a residence permit in Switzerland or Swiss citizens who travel from Albania.
Starting from April 8, Albanians traveling to Switzerland will no longer have a quarantine obligation upon arrival.
The removal of Albania from this list provides that passengers from our country to Switzerland, who travel by air will be required to fill out a digital form with data and present the negative result of the PCR test performed no earlier than 72 hours before the trip.
Those who travel by land, by public transport will only apply the completion of the digital form, without having to submit a negative PCR test, while those who travel by private vehicles by land have no obligation to submit any of the above documents .
