The World Bank built the index of digitalization of agriculture in about 180 countries, giving our country 74.4 points an average rating (over 75 points excellent rating, 50-74.9 average rating, 25-49.9 rating below average and 0-24.9 rating points weak). The Agricultural Digitalization Index took into account the extension of 2-3 and 4 G networks in areas where agriculture takes place and the affordability of broadband internet. More detailed data show that 2 and 3G high speed internet covers more than 99.6 percent of the area where agriculture takes place, while 4G high speed internet covered only 35% of the area. Online coverage of areas where agriculture takes place gave our country 73.8 points.
In terms of internet affordability in terms of prices and availability of a telephone, our country was ranked poorer with only 60.4 points, while higher ratings were given to the suitable environment for developing agriculture. Albania received high points for market access (99 points), access to electricity (100 points), but received lower rating of basic skills of employees (72.6 points).
In the Region, Serbia and Montenegro received higher scores than Albania, while Bosnia was rated lower.
