More than 20 Albanian companies are being trained by regional development centers in Croatia, Slovenia, Greece and Italy to assess the important assets of the maritime sector, especially those of tourism to make their products or services as innovative as possible, thanks to cooperation with research institutes.
There are 23 Albanian companies in the field of industry and maritime services, which have undertaken to offer their experience in the region and take the example of best practices of maritime tourism, but not only, and to offer it todomestic and foreign users in Albania.
The initiative in Albania is led by the Tirana Chamber of Commerce and Industry and includes as important partners the countries of Croatia, Slovenia and Italy, where there is no lack of important universities in these countries.
The initiative is called ECO-NautiNET and aims to assess the significant territorial assets of the Maritime Sector and will provide Albanian companies with access to the best technologies offered by research organizations to increase competitiveness and support their internationalization.
This is the first time that the aim is to improve the competitiveness and innovation of small and medium enterprises in the maritime sector, by supporting their internationalization, through the creation of new clusters and cooperation along the Adriatic-Ionian area.
