Epidemiologist Ilir Alimehmeti says that with the arrival of the tourist season, it is necessary to respect the measures against the virus. The epidemiologist stressed that additional restrictions with other countries are not necessary only in cases where we are dealing with an exponential increase in cases.
"Just to respect our measures, summer tourism means open spaces. We are not in March 2020. Now we know more, we all know the measures, every state knows how to guard and avoid the spread, it does not make sense unless states have an exponential increase in cases but in general it is enough to maintain the measures, so all the elements are in favor.
Last summer we opened the border with Kosovo. "Meanwhile, Kosovo was at the peak of its tide and was translated into nothing in Albania," said the epidemiologist. He also commented on the dire situation India is facing due to the virus. According to him, the low hygienic-sanitary conditions have affected the terrible wave rather than the aggressiveness of the Indian variant itself.
"It is a large population, we have the second problem because it is impossible to physically distance yourself in most areas. "And a respiratory virus is definitely that large number of people who are in contact with each other and do not have the means of hygiene," he said.
